Since you've been around for a while, yous probable know what I'one thousand about to ask. Please provide details of your h2o chemistry and the exam method used to get them. I'll be honest, it took me a while to detect the brown stain and now that I go back and look once more, I'thousand having some difficulty seeing it, distressing. Is in that location any significance to where the band is located? Is it at the normal water line? How thick is information technology, ie a narrow line or a thick band?
Can you requite us the names and amounts of products you've added to the puddle. Non the cleaners to remove the stain, only the products yous've used in maintenance / sanitation.

For maintenance so far since it's been installed I've used Poolife pH minus, Stabilizer (non sure which make), Poolife calcium plus, Natural Chemical science Phos fee (in one case a month, one cap full), Puddle Perfect (one and iii/four cap fulls weekly), SeaKleer Solar Shield (monthly 8 oz), A&H baking soda. It's a salt pool then I don't unremarkably shock information technology with daze just but turn it upward to super chlorinate when needed. I accept used poolife non chlorine oxidizer twice. The band is located above the h2o line and 2-three inches wide, it'due south hard to capture in a picture because information technology'southward not really nighttime but definitely noticeable when you meet it. It's not thick but like the liner is discolored or stained. It's not raised and you tin't feel information technology at all.

Mister Clean Magic Eraser works amazingly well on that stuff.
If Mr Make clean works, plug your olfactory organ and go to the local pool shop (possibly guild online?) and buy a Scum Ball. It's a spongy thing that floats (it will end up in the skimmer) and it attracts oils and soaks them up. That'll keep the ring from reoccuring.

From Examination Kit: Full hardness 250, Total Chlorine 1, Free Chlorine one, pH 7.2, Total Alk 80, CYA 80
For maintenance so far since it'southward been installed I've used Poolife pH minus, Stabilizer (non sure which make), Poolife calcium plus, Natural Chemical science Phos fee (one time a calendar month, i cap full), Puddle Perfect (1 and 3/iv cap fulls weekly), SeaKleer Solar Shield (monthly 8 oz), A&H baking soda. It'southward a salt puddle so I don't normally daze it with shock merely just plough it up to super chlorinate when needed. I have used poolife non chlorine oxidizer twice. The ring is located above the water line and two-3 inches wide, it's hard to capture in a movie because it's not really dark just definitely noticeable when you see it. It's not thick but like the liner is discolored or stained. It's non raised and you tin't feel it at all.

My pool is about the same age as yours and I've added exactly none of the stuff you lot're putting in information technology. Why are y'all adding all the things you've mentioned if yous're following the TFP method? Since my initial opening I've added 3 bags of salt a picayune stabilizer this spring and a very small corporeality of Acid for PH. Perhaps the chemic cocktail y'all're putting in the pool is causing the chocolate-brown band? Hopefully someone will have an idea how to become rid of it for you.

If that band feels greasy/viscous/gooey, it might be oils from sunscreen and so on.Mister Clean Magic Eraser works amazingly well on that stuff.
If Mr Clean works, plug your nose and get to the local pool store (perhaps order online?) and buy a Scum Brawl. It's a spongy thing that floats (it will cease upward in the skimmer) and it attracts oils and soaks them up. That'll keep the ring from reoccuring.
Oooh, that'southward interesting. I was amazed at the flick of sunscreen in my skimmer... gross!

I believe the chocolate-brown ring is from normal oils (suntan lotion, body oil, etc.) or maybe from the neighbors Oak tree that is close past. Every spring information technology drops these brownish catkins all in/around my pool. I started adding the pool perfect considering information technology's supposed to reduce/remove the ring via enzymes, it helps but doesn't prevent it. At this point the band is stained into the liner and I tin can't become information technology out. I've tried magic eraser besides just information technology didn't aid and I've stopped any other chemicals only the TFP method. This is my first puddle so I guess I fell victim to the pool store and but I know better now. Really hoping someone has some ideas on how to go rid of the stain on my liner.
Hey, did you lot always get rid of the band? I have the aforementioned event on my liner...

Hi crocop. I have had good success with 'clean & perfect' enzyme cleaner (same make as Pool Perfect: Natural Chemistry). Use a soft sponge or cloth to avoid scratching your liner. It is all-time to apply when your water level is depression and so that you lot can spray/scrub at the waterline without dilution.Hey, did you ever go rid of the ring? I have the same effect on my liner...
